This community opened its doors just a little too early for me. i was still finishing off my latest bok and 'tweaking' it according to the notes my editor sent me. They were just little tweaks I'm glad to say, easily done and now the book is accepted and scheduled for February next year under the title of The Konstantos Marriage Demand. It seems amazing that this will be my 56th title for Harlequin Mills & Boon.
So now I'm between books and, just for a little while, I'm between contracts too which gives me a wonderful sense of freedom . . . until I looked at my to do list. Eeek!
I have to :
do my accounts and get them to the accountant,
spring clean my office (which looks as it a tornado has hit it),
spring clean the rest of the house where the sunshine is revealing alittle too much dust for comfort,
take the cats to the vets for their booster injections,
book my own dentist, optician's appointments,
do the washing that has mounted up while I focused on my story,
do the ironing - ditto -
catch up on the emails, letters, cards I owe to everyone -
read - I really can't read much when I'm focused on the characters in my head and getting them to their Happy Ever After - and the TBR mountain is getting out of hand
critique a couple of scripts I'm reading for the RNA's New Writer's Scheme
Visit this community and the eHarlequin one a bit more than I've managed up to now
Oh yes - and come up with a new idea for the next book . . .
But I'm also celebrating the fact I just got the hardbacks of the very next book I have out - Kept for Her Baby (M&B August/Presents Extra October) and the cover fairies have been really kind to me this time. I tried to upload it here but it was w-a-y too big - so I've put it on my blog if you'd like to see it.
Oh yes . . .blog - need to update that too . . .Sometimes I wonder how I manage to find the time to write!

Thought I'd sneak in here to say.......
You were, of course, so very right. Practically all of Chapter 1, bar a couple of paras had to go. There are even parts of Chapter 2 that will be deleted. Working on new, much iimproved first chapter with hero and heroine where they should be! So thank you for taking the time and the interest to reply.
