"I knew she would be a demanding heroine..."

There was great excitement in the PJ household when I heard I’d been asked to blog about my book.  There’s nothing an author – well this author – likes more than ‘talking’ about one of the books they have most enjoyed writing, and A Bride for His Majesty’s Pleasure, is very definitely one of my favourites.

The moment I typed Ionanthe’s name I could see her and I loved her. I knew she would be a demanding heroine. I knew she would be idealistic, and proud and vulnerable, but most of all I knew she would be
ready to put aside her own needs for the sake of her duty.  Of course at the same time I knew that secretly she would want and long for the very best of heroes; a prince of a man
in every sense of that word.

So then, my hero he couldn’t be just ‘any kind of Prince’, he had to have something that made him worthy of her, and I think that Max is perfect for her in every single way.

I also knew that I had to create a situation which would ensure that my couple HAD to be together whether they liked it or not, and I had to make sure that my hero was morally stalwart enough to want to
resist taking advantage of having Ionanthe at his mercy.

So, what is a passionate, proud heroine supposed to do when her prince is behaving too honourably to seduce her?

Ah, that’s where the fun starts and I can promise you that writing the sensual love scenes for this book made me smile every time I switched on the computer. I think they are very special indeed,
and I hope that you will agree with me.

Penny Jordan.

Royal romances

I hate this genre.  No matter how good the author they have, so far, been unable to erase from my mind Prince Charles and Princess Diana.

hello

Hi, i'm new here in Mills and Boon community... i signed up today when i see this website here in the internet.

I'm so happy for this opportunity to express my gratitude and thanks to you Miss Penny Jordan and the whole Mills and Boon authors and publishers for influencing my life and gave me inspiration to fulfill my dreams. I'm a 40 years old woman, an accountant and happily married to my dream man for almost 16 years.

I started reading and collecting Mills and Boon romance novels since I was 13 years old. I remember how I used to save my allowance everyday to buy a M&B book every friday afternoon. I already collected a thousand M&B books.... and you are my favorite Miss Jordan, i love your books a lot, especially the "payment in Love" "expert teacher" and so much more, they are all fantastic. You really can capture the minds of the readers.

Your books influenced me a lot. I've been living like one of your heroine eversince. I used to be a very shy girl when i was a kid, but when i started reading M&B I outgrown my shyness, gave me confidence and excelled in my studies and career. Most of all, M&B helped me a lot to enjoy being a woman, sensual, alluring and respectable. As my husband often says, that he can't get enough of me.... funny but its true.

Thank you once again Miss Penny Jordan and to Mills and Boon, more power and God bless.

love all of your books

Hi Penny

I loved this book but I love all of your books anyway.  The only prerequisite to reading your stories is that I can never put them down and often end up reading well into the night.... but they are worth it.

A Bride For His Majesty's Pleasure...

Wow, Penny, that sounds a real page-turner.  I can't wait to get my hands on it!
