Calling all Fifty Shades fans!
Next week, Romance HQ is getting involved in the ‘mummy porn’ debate sparked off by runaway bestseller Fifty Shades of Grey - it’s become such a phenomenon that we’re holding an internal Book Club to discuss it. I predict lots of giggling, some chronic blushing, and some very divisive opinions!
My personal opinion? It works better as a romance than as erotica. And with its enigmatic billionaire hero and innocent heroine, it bears striking thematic similarities to what we publish. Minus the safe words and hardcore S&M gadgetry.
So, that’s the argument I’ll be pushing next week, but, as with any controversial topic, more opinions make for a better discussion.
Which is where you come in! If you’ve read Fifty Shades – or even if you haven’t, and never want to either – this is your chance to join in our debate.
What we want to know is...
What attracted you to read it?
Did it live up to your expectations?
What did you like/ not like about it?
How do you think it compares to reading an M&B series romance?
Did the kinky sex add to the reading experience?!
Would you recommend it?
Your opinions would be invaluable, so please do let us know!
Love Flo x
