The Three Twins

P7170074.JPG

So, I've known and loved Kate Walker for years, but while I've grown to know Donna Alward here at the boards at eHarlequin, I never met her until this year's RWA conference.  What makes this strange is that the three of us are in fact twins!

Now, when Donna and I met up on the elevator at the hotel and squealed that we'd found our twin, and explained to all the rather startled passengers that we were on our way to meet our third twin, a gentleman tried to inform us that we were triplets.  SCOFF.  Of course we're not.  We're the world's only three twins who were born to separate mothers on separate continents, on separate days!  How could he not understand??  (Men...can't live with them, can't explain the facts of twinship to them!)

I can't even begin to tell you how absolutely lovely it was to get to hang out with them both!  I've met Kate a number of times and adore her!  And Donna, well, she's absolutely just as wonderful as you'd imagine having met here here online!

Now, last year Kate and I had our great knacked debate, but there was no debating this year...three twins stood in harmony!  Sometimes you meet people and just have that connection.  We thought we came up with the perfect explanation for it!  LOL

OMG, ROTFLMAO--that is great--I had a good laugh over that. 3 is my favorite number and 9 is my second favorite number.

Caro

Caro,

RMAOLOL...You did put a lot of thought into that!  Thanks!  Us Thringles love the support!

What's in a name...

Hi, it got me thinking.  Thriplets? Clover leafs (or is it leaves) - a lucky one is 3? The power of three?  Tri-writers?  I looked on Wikipaedia about the number three - amongst the huge amount of information -  a traingle is a durable shape or the perfect shape.  Earlier in the article there was talk about 'vulgar fractions' but I didn't want to lower the tone.  I like 3 because 3 x 3 = 9 and that is a fantastic number to play with.  You perhaps need another couple of 'thringles' and you are cooking! Hip, Hip, Hooray!

Nancy

Nancy,

I'm glad you share that twin (triwn?) connection with someone as well!   It does make for interesting conversations!  LOL

 Holly

You see, I have more than

You see, I have more than one twin myself. There is a remote possibility that you will meet someone and realize that this one fits in so perfectly with another twin that the relationship morphs into a triplet. But that is not how it naturally works.

Nancy

Nancy,

See, you understood our twinship (there's been a debate if three twins should be The Thrice Girls, twiplets, thrines... LOL), don't see why that gentleman in question didn't get it!  LOL

Holly

I love your explanation and

I love your explanation and there is no end in sight of how many other twins you might discover.
