So, yesterday, Susan Gable and I hit the road again. This time we were going to Port Clinton, Ohio. Before we started, Susan began picking on my lack of directional abilities, but hey, that's why we had my daughter's GPS, Gertie! And of course, she picked on my poor car, Floyd! But Gertie, Floyd and I got us to Port Clinton, no problems!

We parked poor, abused Floyd and headed for the store. There was a huge car show going on, and right there, was my dream car. One of those really tiny Smart Cars. Susan didn't think it as any cuter than Floyd, but oh, I adored it! Cute, huh?

We were signing at The Book Exchange! The owners, Annette and Mike, are two of my favorite people! So many authors, so much fun! Tori Carrington was there...both halfs of Tori. For those who don't know, Tori is really the married, writing team of Lori and Tony Kariani. And Tony brought some baklava he made. Now, Tony was one of my favorite people before I had his baklava, but uh, the man can really cook in addition to write!!

Mike, Me, Annette, Lori & Tony (Tori Carrington) and Susan
That's me and Tony's Baklava...seriously, yum!

Susan and I did an interview with Joan Bryden of WPCR. It will be aired on August 14th...I'll post a link then for those who want to listen!
After the signing was finished, we walked the block to Lake Erie. Port Clinton sits on my lake. Yes, Lake Erie's mine. Okay, so I share really nicely! LOL Susan, got in her handy dandy bikini and we admired the seagulls! I love seagulls. Now, I know, some people refer to them as flying rats, but I just love them!

What made this trip so special was that I set last summer's book, Same Time Next Summer in Port Clinton. We sold a lot of copies (Annette had stocked up) and for anyone in the area, she still has some of the stock signed. For those who aren't in Port Clinton, the book's still available at online bookstores, and here in eHarlequin's eBookstore!
So, that was my day!! Hope you all had a great weekend, too!
