Lucy Gordon crafts an excellent romance in an unusual setting, perfect for escaping from the every day cares of waiting for a doctor's appointment.I loved how she brought China to likfe as she expertly told Olivia and Lang's story. The ending brought a tear to my eye.

I was pleasantly surprised withthis book. Gordon's voice is unique and not quite to my taste-I feel a bitdistanced from her characters. I enjoy a more immediate connection withcharacters and I often feel a disconnect when I start one of her stories.However as this story progressed I did feel more drawn into it and I loved thehero, mostly, except when I wanted to knock him upside the head.
