Housekeeper’s Happy-Ever-After by Fiona Harper, HR Apr10 #4164, In Her Shoes
Harper does a great job of presenting a heroine with TBI*-she finds a way to present some of the challenges in a believable, but not maudlin way. There is a wide range of recovery results following a TBI and clearly she has selected characteristics that place her heroine at a high functioning end of the spectrum. Heroine, Ellie Bond, has suffered the loss of her husband and child.
Blue Moon Bride
Wow!I wish I could meet my soul mate under a blue moon lol!
Beauty and the Reclusive Prince by Raye Morgan, HR Apr10 #4160, The Brides of Bella Rosa
This is a Beauty and Beast story, complete with the dutiful daughter who is taking care of her father. The story unfolds quickly and paces well throughout the story. Isabella needs to slip onto the grounds of the local reclusive Prince Maximilliano, to acquire the hard-to-find basil that only grows on his land. She is caught in the act and brought to his castle.
Marrying the Scarred Sheikh by Barbara McMahon, HR Ap10 #4161, Jewels of the Desert
This story picks up where McMahon’s last book left off, kind of. But this time her primary hero was last book’s secondary male character. The badly scarred Khalid discovers there is a renter on property he inherited. He has no intention of keeping the home, but the renter won’t be bought off.
Tough to Tame by Diana Palmer HR Mystery month 10 #4159

And the Bride Wore Red

Lucy Gordon crafts an excellent romance in an unusual setting, perfect for escaping from the every day cares of waiting for a doctor's appointment.I loved how she brought China to likfe as she expertly told Olivia and Lang's story. The ending brought a tear to my eye.
