This story picks up where McMahon’s last book left off, kind of. But this time her primary hero was last book’s secondary male character. The badly scarred Khalid discovers there is a renter on property he inherited. He has no intention of keeping the home, but the renter won’t be bought off.

Bethanne Sanders is flying aspecial order jet to a Sheihk in the desert. She also has precious cargo onboard. When the plane arrives the special cargo is missing and she is pressedinto service. How will her stay in the desert play out?

This story proved to be an interesting flight of fancy. She works for a wealthy businessman who has made a bet with a rival. Her boss will do anything to swing the race in his direction, including offering her up to the rival.

McMahon starts this story out
with a strong idea and executes it well until near the end. For my taste the
hero’s growth seemed to stagnate three-fourths of the way through the book and
